Retail Sales Trainee & Merchandiser

To achieve sales goals for all corporate brands on assigned route. To sell products, packages, promotional and marketing programs and any other special activities developed by the Company.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.

  • Start your day on time with a positive attitude and dress appropriately (no sneakers, jeans or tee shirts). Maintain a business ready appearance in stores and office.
  • Ability to communicate with customers in a professional manner and explain programs, sales and answer questions.
  • Good organizational and time management skills. Must be able to work efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to follow direction and complete assigned tasks 100%
  • Develop sales and merchandising strategies before each week
  • Ability to handle sales and merchandising objections in a professional manner in order to maintain and sell in programs
  • Provide efficient service and merchandising to all accounts that will enhance the image of all corporate brands with consumers and retail customers.
  • Know your products, promotional programs.
  • Develop sales plan for each sales call.
  • Anticipate objections and have action plan to address.
  • Assigned routes daily based on business need.
  • Develop assigned territory by constantly prospecting for new accounts.
  • Make all sales calls on assigned days; work to minimize customer phone calls.
  • Maintain exclusivity of Company equipment.
  • Communicate problems and competitive activity on your route to immediate supervisor.
  • Follow Company and Customer guidelines or policies acting immediately when expected on product complaints or major recall issues.
  • Follow up on special dealer requests "Grand Opening", banner requests, etc.
  • Discipline customers to have money available for scheduled delivery (violators).
  • Notify vending department of anticipated or known customer closings in ample time to retrieve equipment.
  • Retrieve voice mail messages, texts, and emails daily and act with urgency on customers' requests.
  • Maintain open communication with Institutional Account reps to develop new and existing business.
  • Maintain good working relationship with other company departments (Customer Service, Vending, IT, Delivery, and Dispatch).
  • Properly complete all new account forms and submit daily with appropriate state tax exempt forms. Maintain accurate sales book entries, submit all required paperwork in a timely manner and properly completed.
  • Maintain all assigned company property and/or equipment in a clean condition. Report any malfunctions immediately.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Facility based in Pennsauken, NJ but may service Philadelphia, Montgomery, or Bucks county
Required:

  • MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE AND OWN VEHICLE WITH VALID INSURANCE.
  • Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and two years successful sales and/or customer contact experience.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
  • Sales experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
