Reporting to the Director of Information Systems and Technology, the Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the data strategy, administration, and evaluation of FBSJ information systems and technology. The Data Analysts primary role is to maintain processes and systems that aggregate data and improve access to pertinent information. As part of this process, the Data Analyst maintains the technology and information goals of FBSJ and participates in the planning and implementation of the appropriate systems to meet these goals.
The Data Analyst will also facilitate the flow of information throughout the Food Bank by maintaining and administering the major data systems.
The Data Analyst will maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, including organizational personnel, key vendors, member agencies, and other network food banks in order to keep abreast of changing trends and inform the public about the Food Banks advances.
The responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to:
Act as a Salesforce subject matter expert for internal users including but not limited to:
o Application development including: creation of custom objects and fields; page layout modification; management of record types, etc.
o Perform Extraction, Transformation and Load of data sets as necessary
o Support the creation, maintenance and enforcement of data integrity standards
Communicate and present relevant information to non-technical staff and audiences as needed
Provide day-to-day administrative maintenance for information systems and technology
Work with the Food Bank of South Jerseys IT consultants or other vendors working on behalf of the organization during the installation and/or upgrade of computer hardware and software, telecommunications hardware or other technology-related systems.
Maintain and administer the Food Bank of South Jerseys major data systems including: Accounting Software (ie: Peachtree), Inventory Management Software (ie: Primarius; Navision/CERES), and Donor Management Software (ie: Raisers Edge; Luminate CRM). Develop and implement systems for aggregating data across these systems and processes for providing staff with the information they need for planning and reporting.
Maintain other data-intensive projects such as the Feeding America Hunger Study.
Core Qualifications
Bachelors Degree with 3 - 5 years of demonstrated experience developing, managing and implementing technology and information systems solutions or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Expertise in Microsoft Windows; Microsoft Office, especially Excel; Relational database design and implementation. Knowledge of SQL Server, GIS, CRM or other software systems, a plus.
Ability to interpret complex information from various sources and be able to decide the best way to move forward on a project. Must also be able to predict how changes may affect the project.
Ability to function as a go-between with management and IT vendors and be able to explain complex issues in a way that both will understand.
Demonstrated knowledge and management of core Salesforce.com platform architecture, ie: (Objects, Fields, Record Types, Reports, Dashboards, Security & Accessibility, User Management, etc.)
Previous experience as a Salesforce administrator, certification is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact with different levels of staff and volunteers

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
