Summary
The Director of Giving is a full-time senior-level professional primarily responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive annual giving program, including the coordination and oversight of supporting initiatives primarily in the areas of government funding and corporate/foundation gift management as well as individual donor relations.
The Director of Giving works in the Fund Development Department and directly reports to the Chief Development Officer. S/he will primarily manage an Institutional Giving Manager as well as a Senior Manager of Individual Giving.
Essential Functions
Guide the efforts of a coordinated matrix of communication and solicitation strategies involving proposal management (especially in the area of government and foundation grants), grant reporting management, identifying new government/foundation sources for funding, as well as individual giving management--all focused on shaping a sustainable tradition of annual support through giving programs.
Foster the growth of best practices in the supporting areas of government fund management, foundation grants management, new institutional giving cultivation/management, data management, as well as individual giving as related to annual giving. The director has a keen appreciation for the urgent need of annual giving as the enabling component of successful major and gift planning programs.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
