We are currently seeking a QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN who will be responsible for performing physical and visual inspections of our products and systems, documenting and calculating results accurately taking corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process identify) and report results to management, as well as additional assignments requested.
All team members are responsible for safety.
This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety
Essential Functions:
This following duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities.
Performing quality test procedures as required and specified by the production paperwork Check and document raw/cooked weights, shapes and appearances of all applicable products.
Calibrate scales.
Monitor all metal detectors for operation and accuracy.
Monitor case/box/date codes.
Monitor and check count accuracy.
Supporting QA and QC as necessary Maintaining specifications and making changes to specifications as required through spec change process and approved by Technical and Manufacturing Practice Good Manufacturing Practices Must maintain proper sanitation and personal hygiene practices Be competent to implement and maintain HACCP based food safety plans and documents Completion of HACCP paperwork - Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly; verify that it is completed and turned in.
Verifies HACCP forms and checks for accuracy and completeness Report problems or inconsistencies with any procedure to supervisors or management Follow up with employees regarding HACCP paperwork completeness and accuracy Proactively look for ways to improve and in all areas of production Assist in any and all areas of the facility Record temperature readings.
Regular and timely attendance Required Experience/Education:
High School Diploma and relevant experience required.
Prior HACCP Training is a plus.
Some product knowledge for quality assessments.
4 years food service experience.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand on your feet and work between 8-12 hours per shift Must be able to grasp objects and lift up to 50lbs.
Able to work in a cold kitchen area located in a walk-in refrigerator kept at 35 degrees.
Warehouse environment Working Conditions:
Must be able to withstand temperatures ranging from -20 degrees Fahrenheit to 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
Typical hours are 10:
00pm-6:
00am; must be flexible for occasional weekend hours.
